An Evening with Ben Coes

On June 24th at 6:30 PM, The Mustard Seed Bookstore will host New York Times bestselling author, Ben Coes, who will discuss his newest novel, Trap the Devil. In this political thriller the greatest threat to national safety and stability comes from within. As a fragmented group of the Nation’s most trusted men and women devise an invisible coup of the U.S. government, only one man has the access and skills to thwart their goals and the crumbling of democracy  -- Dewey Andreas.

Andreas is the main character in Coe’s political thriller series. Trap the Devil is the seventh book in this dynamic run.. Coes has created a compelling collection of stories which Kirkus Reviews says is, at times, “disconcertingly real.” Publishers Weekly says, “Coes creates a believable hero in Dewey, who’s almost superhuman but never a cartoon.”

Before writing his first novel, Ben Coes worked at the White House under two presidents and was a Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government. He lives with his wife and four children in Wellesley, Massachusetts and summers in Small Point, Maine.

“Coes continues to deliver intense and gripping novels showcasing the world of special ops with his hero Dewey Andreas...Coes’ name should be on the lips of every reader who enjoys Vince Flynn and the Brads (Taylor and Thor).”  --Booklist (starred review)
